Listening Tours: Coming to a School Near You

AEA is a member-led association. As such, it is important that we hear from each of our members. Last year, listening tours took place in Kenai, Fairbanks, and the Mat-Su, and this fall we’ll be having one in Anchorage.

Here's what they look like: NEA-Alaska and AEA leaders, along with staff, will be coming into buildings to talk to every member individually. Three questions will be asked in a one-on-one setting. These conversations will happen during non-instructional time and will only take about five minutes.

The information gathered here will be used to guide our association. We know that all of our members are dedicated to student success and learning and we want to hear from you so we can help you achieve these goals!

The listening tour will be held on: 

• Friday September 9th
• Tuesday, September 20 - Thursday, September 22
• Thursday, October 13 - Friday, October 14

As we won’t get to every school during these six days, there will be more listening tour days scheduled over the course of the year. We plan to reach every school and every member.
