AEA along with partners (on flyer to right) are holding a Community Forum in an effort to hear what our Anchorage Community thinks Anchorage Students Deserve. The new education law, the Every Student Succeeds Act (the No Child Left Behind replacement) requires stakeholder input be included in the state and local plans. Stakeholders include ALL community members. After a short introduction, we will split into smaller facilitated groups to be able to truly hear our community members' voices. We will end the Forum with a panel (to include Dr. Susan MacCauley with the Department of Education and Early Development, Dr. Paramo - Superintendent of Anchorage School District and a parent, student and educator) to get an idea of what came out of the community conversations and how we can use what we learned to move forward. Please spread the word!
